Creative destruction: Uncovering opportunity during transitional times

There is no doubt that nonprofit organizations are finding themselves in a transitional time. The economy, the climate, governments, philanthropy and funding models, our labour force are some examples of what is shifting around us. In transitions, we may see some organizations and groups forced into mergers, being downsized or even forced into “creative destruction”: phases where old practices are dismantled or adjusted to make way for innovation and growth. What possibilities are emerging for us as a network? As a sector? How do we care for and support each other and keep moving ahead? This interactive session will explore the “ecocycle model” and provide opportunities for participants to connect, share and learn from one another.
